Secondly the non competitive way of playing the songs to level I feel is not as good. The only things that I think are slightly worse is on the song choice I really miss the classical music pieces. I love this feature because it really gives you an idea at how good you are at the game. Also when you miss a tile and lose it tells you what percent of the player base you beat. The high score is based on how many tiles that person got instead of tiles per second. Lastly the single player challenge modes are so much better than piano tiles 2. This added a much needed skill gap into the game which makes being good at it that much more rewarding. Every once in a while I even get to play against people who really make me try hard and go really far into the song.Īdding the accuracy system and basing the points on that was nothing short of a s***** of genius. The ability to play online vs other people is super fun. I obviously really enjoyed piano tiles 2 based on how much I played it so believe me when I say I think this game is better by a long shot it’s completely genuine. And a lot is an understatement I hit max level every time new levels came out and I got at least 3 stars on every song in the game.
John Jacob jungle himershmit's Review of Magic Tiles 3 Reviewed on 7/30/18 3:37 AM Overall, piano tiles 2 is better by a long long LONG shot. It would be better and more fun/challenging if there was an easy, medium and hard mode to choose from. But even this I’ve grown to dislike because all of the songs are way too easy. The only added feature that I initially thought was a step above piano tiles 2 was the option to be able to play with people online, which is something I’ve always wanted. Sometimes I close out of the app in the middle of playing because the songs are so bad to the point where it’s not even pleasant to play. This happens with every single song, and can make it confusing to be able to hit the notes at the right time. Throughout the song the notes get more and more off sync with the music. Sometimes I’ll lose because I tap the note but somehow it doesn’t register.Īnother thing I noticed is that the tiles don’t match up with the notes to the songs the whole time. Just not nearly as good as piano tiles 2 star star star_border star_border star_border Not a bad game at all, just wish they’d fix the bugs.
A shame as I would have given this more stars.Īds in every game, I don’t notice more than your average game. Not sure what that is all about as I can’t seem to find any info on that. The last few days the ‘server is disconnected’. That was neat the one or two times I could do it.
This game is or did have an online function where you can compete with other players. You get Easter eggs here rather than boxes, and you get more in this game than Piano Tiles. In Piano Tiles you can slide from tile to tile (not sure if everyone knows you can do that) but that doesn’t work in this game. I’d agree with others that sometimes the beats don’t match your taps but I haven’t found it debilitating. Same concept obviously but the music is more acoustic for a lack of better words which is refreshing. I’ve been playing Piano Tiles for a loooong time, so fair assessment of this game.
